Spring Season 2016 with the Young British Designers on Glimpses at Fashion

Hello sweethearts! Before I am going to leave the house to spend an evening filled with music by the Grandbrothers, I want to write a few lines to you.
I really start to looking forward to spring.

Yesterday the weather was so amazing in central Germany that we almost spent the whole day outside in Aschaffenburg...a city not far away from Francfort that people lovingly call the "Bavarian Riviera".
Pompejanum Aschaffenburg
The atmosphere was just great. The people were in a fantastic mood and we could have our coffees outside in on the terrace of one of those beautiful cafes at the border of the River Main...We chose Pier 18, a wonderful place to be as you can see in the picture.

Always when I have enough of the sometimes stressful atmosphere of Francfort, I go to Aschaffenburg for coffee, meeting friends, shopping (there are lovely small boutiques there) and for relaxation. By the by, relaxation...spending a lazy Sunday so far on my couch I couldn't restist but dropping by  at the Young British Designers to see what's new in. And it may not surprise you that I have found quite a few pieces for Spring/Summer 2016 that may please you...So let's take a short journey into the realm of the YBDs

1.Exotic Evenings Skirt and Coming up Roses Linen Knit by Kelly Love..The perfect marriage of colours, patterns and textures.

Wearable at day and night, this skirt can definitely be called a wardrobe hero. I love the details like the patch pocket details and the centre slit. T
he pattern is great and I like to wear pencil skirts with my beloved Stan Smith.

2. The Marlon Shirt in White by Eudon Choi.

The white shirt, one of the dominating fashion trends 2016, is so unique and extravagant in its design that makes it so hard not to want it. The flounce detail takes the boyfriend cut to a wonderful level of female elegance.

3. White Frayed Denim Cowl Top by Charlie May.

The denim trends 2016 are inexhaustible but for me this piece by Charlie May is simply extraordinary. As I wear my hair really really short right now and with big statement glasses I guess this top is the perfect face framer.

3. Rusted Hearts Shirt dress by Kelly Love.

It was love at first sight. This lovely flowing shirt dress in bitter burnt orange makes me dream of  a warm summer day at one of those beautiful places at the Côte d'Azur or of a walk through one of those lovely and romantic Spanish old towns...

4. Bridell Jacket in Natural Irish Linen by Eudon Choi.

This is definitely a piece I would want to wear forever. The linen makes this jacket look so chic and timeless and would give you this light and elegant summertime feeling. And you can combine it with so many things. I can also imagine wearing it with a black pencil skirt, our suit pants during my seminars or at school...

Sweethearts, that was my last piece for today by the YBDs but I am definitely coming back soon...That's for sure.

Guys, enjoy your evenings! I am leaving for the concert...

See you soon on Glimpses at Fashion.
Enjoy some fashionable moments in the meantime.
