How to get inspired by Couture Fashion Week's Street Style 2016

Hey sweethearts! I hope you had a great start into February. I am so happy to be back here on Glimpses at Fashion and to have found the perfect moment for posting a few lines to you, guys.

Before we talk about our most beloved topic fashion a few words about last weekend which started on Friday evening in the most perfect way. I had made dinner reservations with my French friend in one of my favourite restaurants in Francfort Margarete.

Isn't the restaurant amazing? So, on Friday, I was really excited to go to Margarete (...which is really the name of the restaurant) as I haven't been there for some time and I was also excited to see my dear French friend. She is really amazing and funny and I love it that I can train my French with her...As a French teacher trainer you also need some language training from time to time.

We had a great evening in a fantastic atmosphere and with fabulous food. Plus, the staff is so nice and always makes you feel like being at home in your own living-room. The funniest thing is that there is this one waiter, really nice guy, definitely in love with guys (which is no problem at all as I have my sweetheart at home), who always forgets to put things on my bill like the bottle of water, wine or sometimes dessert.

This is going on for about one and a half years and I can't stop but thinking that maybe he takes me for someone else...But sweethearts, it keeps me coming back to this wonderful restaurant that I love and that definitely has New York style...

Style is a good word and reminds me of coming back to you guys. With couture fashion week 2016 behind us and New York, London and Milan Fashion Week 2016 lying before us, I think it is time to see how we could turn our streets - even if they are far away - into this glamorous runway...

So, today we are going to take a look at street styles during couture fashion week 2016 and I am going to show you my favourite styles.

1. My favourite style...Isn't she beautiful? And the outfit is so simple. Oversized biker jacket, skinny scarf, flared denim, V-neck T-shirt and sneakers...

2. My next favourite is the wide-leg herringbone trousers outfit. The wide-leg trousers in its great variety is for me a fashion must-have 2016. Combining those with sneakers is for me the perfect fashion statement. I am still in love with my Stan Smith.

3. A certain day-time elegance makes you feel differently and makes people look at you in a different way. Working at a teacher academy I am very free in the choice of my wardrobe but I always notice that when I choose the elegant version that I feel much more ladylike...like a self-confident woman who knows what she is talking about and who knows how to dress. So why not choosing the elegant style more often? Here are some amazing example that are suitable for our everyday life.

The white turtleneck robe makes this woman look like a princess lost in the jungle of the big city. Another thing that always strikes me is how easy it is to style up your look with a small and beautiful belt. Perfect.

4. You cannot buy style. There are those who always look stylish in the most simplest of outfits. Sure, you can buy the statement coata striped shirt, or a pair of culottes. Style begins with a feeling for what suits you and how you can add a personal note to your outfit like the red skinny scarf, the layering of your clothes, like wearing your personal statement bag or your statement blazer in your own special way...

Sweethearts, that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed our little journey into couture fashion week's street style 2016. I did and I am definitely looking forward to being back here soon.

Have a nice week and do not forget to enjoy some fashionable moments!
And do not forget to come back to Glimpses at Fashion.
