Young British Designers revisited #2

Hello guys, I really hope that everyone of you is ok. I am sure it has been one of the most horrifying weekends for all of us. I have long thought about whether I would, could or should publish my new post today

and finally decided to do so. Although feeling this deep sadness inside of me, I could not forget what someone wise and old told us on Saturday during a tourist guide training. After a night of almost no sleep because of the Paris attacks I got up and didn't really want to go the tourist guide training. But there are things you have to do and arriving there and seeing my nice friends and colleagues didn't change my mood at all. I just wanted to be alone with my sorrow.

When the trainer started his seminar, he talked about the terrible Paris attacks and he also told us about his long friendship with the Dalai Lama and that he has visited him a few weeks ago. And the most important piece of advice for life the Dalai Lama has given him has been to never give up. And in that moment this was at least something worth contemplating in a desperate situation like this...

Guys, I do not want to elaborate further on this, I just wanted to let you now that we are all in this together and that now I really need a change of subject at least for an hour or for a few moments together with you.

You already now my being obsessed with the Young British Designers and I have felt a really strong need to revisit their shop and to see what's new in...And it's always worth it...

My first discovery is the #APHRODITE OVERSIZED CASHMERE WRAP IN HOUNDSTOOTH Designed By The #Mercy Delta Girls. It is 100 % cashmere and I am a big big fan of cashmere. The houndstooth pattern is classic and modern at the same time and you can wear it with almost everything. Apart from this, I am in love with oversized scarfs. Not only do they keep us warm (and it's even cashmere), they really can add a very personal note to a minimal outfit. And I really  adore the combination with the one-piece and the Stan Smith...

I stick to the #MercyDeltaGirls because I really fell in love with their colours, pattern and looks, in general. The following is a really cool piece, not only for dog-lovers :the

#RUFFORD HOUND-DOG TOP IN SYCAMORE

The hound-dog top by the #MercyDeltaGirls is made of 100% silk.  What I like about the top is that it is suitable for business and that you can combine it with a skinny jeans on any other occasion. The combination presented on the photo is just perfect, don't you think? The GOODWOOD SILK SHIRT IN HOUND-DOG ELM WHITE is fantastic ,too.

Guys, I have another mind-blowing piece for you: #Pepe Pants in Marine Blue Metallic by #BlakeLDN. We stick to blue...How amazing is that?

These pants are really awesome. The strong marine blue with its slightly shimmering metallic fabric and the slightly flared cut are the perfect fashion statement for a busy day. And another wonderful side effect of wearing these pants by #BlakeLDN might be warmer legs...perfect isnt't it?

I really have to admit that I could go on for years with choosing pieces from the #youngbritishdesigners...and I promise to come back on a regular basis to show you some more of my favourite #YBD clothes and accessories.

For the now moment I have to go back to work...two seminars on Tuesday...

If you are as obsessed with the #YBD as I am check out these blog posts: After Fashion Week Shopping with the Young British Designers, and Young British Designers Revisited #1...

For me there is only one thing left to say...
Take care of you, wherever you are...And all my thoughts go to the people in Paris -  to the victims and their families and to everyone living there who has lost a little hope during the last few days.

We stand together with Paris...

The ultimate 7 Feel-Good must haves every fashionable woman needs in January 2017

Hey, guys! After almost three weeks of winter holidays, I should feel totally relaxed right now. But I don’t. It is the last weekend before I have to go back to work on Monday and motivation is the last thing I am feeling right now. The holidays have been filled with many wonderful moments – visiting family, friends, parties, eating in restaurants …- however, I have missed one important part. Going away for a few days, relaxing somewhere in a beautiful hotel by the sea or in the mountains…I cannot help but missing this essential part of my holidays. Or maybe it is just that this time I have been unable to find some relaxation during the few hours spent at home…
It`s no use moaning. Monday is approaching and it is approaching very fast…So, my personal challenge of the weekend is to motivate myself for going back to work on Monday… So I am about to outsmart my brain in the best possible way I can by finding beautiful things to think about. Apart from looking for wonderful places to spend m…

Look of the week–We love ethno!

Good evening sweethearts! I have just returned from another exam of one of my students and about to leave for an evening with one of my favourite girls. We are going to have some drinks in a bar not too far away from home which is totally ok with me. The week was tough and the weekend is going to be tough as well. As the weather is getting more and more beautiful, it’s the invasion of tourists coming to my sweet little medieval town Seligenstadt. So the weekend will be filled with one guided tour after the other…Definitely time to chill out a little bit this evening… Before I am going to leave, I just wanted to share with you my look of this week which is all about the summer trend 2016…Ethno Style. What I love about the outfit of Alessandra Ambrosio is the combination of a very cool and minimal denim style with a white T-shirt, grey boots and statement bag. The fringed Ethno cardigan in the Spring/Summer colours 2016 sets the perfect accent to this timeless and stylish look. Guys, I h…

You want to be more Parisian wherever you are...?

Hey guys! I am happy to be back here with you and to have found some time to write to you. It is a little bit like coming back home. Finding the time for writing a new post wasn't as easy as I expected this week. Although I haven't worked at all, I enjoyed a lot of my freetime with my wonderful friends and this was really fun and necessary. By the way, they all are really fashion-addicted
and everyone of them has their own style, which I adore so much. I am totally happy about having a French friend, who in this moment is on her way to Paris in order to spend some time with her family. She is just adorable and the Parisian, I would say...As French was my favourite subject at school and as I studied the language for many years, I fell in love with the French language and the culture very early. And for over all these years I couldn't stop myself from asking myself the question of why we admire these beautiful Parisian women so much and what makes them so adorable and unique.…
